THE DESIGN OF TACTICS is a book I co-edited in 2022 with Jacopo Leveratto and Cristina F. Colombo (researchers at Politecnico di Milano).
The book is one of the outcomes of the European research project En/counter/points (2019-2023), funded by the HERA Foundation. The publication reflects on the critical practices that have been transforming neglected public spaces in Europe in the last decades, through spatial interventions and experimental modes of engagement. It questions adaptive reuse, temporary interventions, and re-appropriation through the analysis of contemporary case studies, looking at new collective and collaborative approaches of architecture.
The book includes interviews with practitioners Constructlab and Raumlabor (Berlin), Atelier Mob and Colectivo Warehouse (Lisbon), Orizzontale (Rome), Gravalos di Monte (Granada), Bruit du Frigo (Bordeaux) and Collectif Etc (Marseille).
